How to Use the On/Off Dialysis Dressing Kit
This procedure should be performed by trained medical staff or
under medical supervision.

Prepare the Area

Wash hands thoroughly with soap or use hand sanitizer.

Open the Dialysis Dressing Kit carefully in a sterile
field.
- Wear the sterile gloves provided in the kit.

Remove Old Dressing

Gently peel off the existing dressing around the catheter
site.

Inspect the area for redness, swelling, discharge, or
infection.

Clean the Catheter Site
- Use the alcohol swab to clean the surrounding skin.

Use povidone-iodine swab (or as per hospital protocol) to
disinfect the catheter site.

Allow the area to air-dry completely before applying the
new dressing.

Place New Dressing Materials

Use sterile gauze swabs or non-woven dressing pad to cover
the catheter insertion site.

Secure the dressing using microporous tape or fixation
dressing provided in the kit.

Ensure the catheter lines remain clean and untangled.

Apply Additional Protection

Cover the area with the underpad/towel (if included) to
prevent contamination.

Dispose of all used materials in the waste-disposal bag
included in the kit.

Post-Procedure Care
- Monitor the site for irritation or leakage.
